"How do I say this? I give my best as much as I can (...) I'm not one to share my distress. I don't feel like that's my life as an artist. You always show the best of yourself. But I'm a human being like everyone else, and sometimes I suffer in silence," the 53-year-old star told People magazine.
In the conversation during the premiere of her new movie 'Shotgun Wedding', which took place on Wednesday, January 18 in Hollywood, JLo added that "the truth is that I'm like any other person. Sometimes I struggle, sometimes I wonder and sometimes I doubt, and I'm insecure."
Amidst all this, the singer of "I'm Real" continues with her plans because there is "a lot to come this year." For 2023 she has projects that excite her.
"Let's put it this way. A lot of exchange and artistic things that I think will be revealing to people. And I'm happy to do that. I'm happy to share that," she added. Among all this is the release of her ninth studio album 'Marry Me, This is Me... Now' that "narrates the emotional, spiritual, and psychological journey she has undertaken in the past two decades."
Living with Ben Affleck's children
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck reconciled in 2021, which resulted in her children Max and Emme and her husband's children Violet, Samuel, and Seraphine starting to live under the same roof. How is she experiencing motherhood?
"We moved in together. The kids moved in together. It's been a kind of emotional transition, but at the same time, all my dreams are coming true. And it's been a phenomenal year. I think it's been my best year since my kids were born," she confessed to Today. But that's not all, she dedicated some beautiful words to her husband affirming that "he is a dream. He is a charm."
She added that "All my life I wondered if true love existed. Now, I feel like I've found a person who will be by my side no matter what."
