The Court of Justice of Madrid confirmed that youtuber and streamer Rubén Doblas Gundersen, better known as El Rubius, will have to pay a fine of over 70,000 euros for tax evasion.

According to the case, El Rubius did not declare a total of 49,629.72 euros in Personal Income Tax (IRPF) in 2013, which was considered as fraud because he used the Corporate Tax, avoiding payment between 2013 and 2014. Therefore, he should pay approximately 73,000 euros for defrauding the Treasury in 2013.

"The company did not provide any relevant added value. This is done to avoid the application of the progressive and higher tax rates of IRPF compared to Corporate Tax [...]", declared Hacienda.

After investigations and handing the case over to the courts, Hacienda announced that the young content creator must pay an amount of over 49 million euros plus the 23,000 euros fine for fraud.

This type of cases is not new in the Spanish Treasury, as various personalities, including athletes and businessmen, usually engage in this activity to evade tax declarations.

"This taxation does not correspond to the normal market value. The prices charged by El Rubius are significantly higher than what the company rewards", they declared about the discussed company. So far, the influencer has not spoken out, so it is unknown if he will make the respective payment.
