The Liga de Expansión MX announced that due to the arrest of capo Ovidio Guzmán, it has decided to reschedule the match of Matchday 1 of the Clausura 2023 between Dorados de Sinaloa and Correcaminos, due to the situation of violence in the capital Culiacán.
"Given the current circumstances in Culiacán, Sinaloa, the Liga de Expansión MX has decided to reschedule, with a date to be determined, the match of Matchday 1 between the clubs Dorados and Correcaminos, which was scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 5th," the statement said.

Matchday 1 of the new tournament of the Liga de Expansión started on January 4th with three matches; Celaya beat Cancún FC 2-0, La Paz defeated Mineros de Zacatecas by the same score, and Venados de Mérida won by the minimum against Tepatitlán FC.
The match that was scheduled for today between Dorados and Correcaminos was supposed to start at 21:05 hours.
The Banorte Stadium, or Dorados Stadium, is located on Boulevard Rotarismo, Desarrollo Urbano Tres Ríos, in the heart of Culiacán, Sinaloa. All flights to the city have been suspended.
Correcaminos has also issued a statement informing that "in the next few hours, the new date and time of the match corresponding to Matchday 1 will be officially announced."
