Damar Hamlin's family asked the NFL community on Tuesday to keep prayers for the Buffalo Bills defensive player, who is in critical condition in a hospital in Cincinnati.
"On behalf of our family, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and support shown to Damar during this difficult time. Please keep Damar in your prayers. We will post updates as soon as we have them," shared the Hamlin family.
The 24-year-old player suffered a cardiac arrest last Monday during a game against the Bengals, the last of Week 17 of the 2022 NFL season, which was suspended due to the incident.
The Bills were losing 3-7 when Hamlin fell to the ground after colliding with Tee Higgins, a Bengals receiver. The defensive player got up but immediately collapsed and remained lying on the field.
