A little friendly trash talk/general mind games never hurt anyone. Any way you can get an edge, or perhaps push your opponent over the edge, is fair game in the NFL. 49ers star tight end George Kittle is an excellent example of this.
During San Francisco’s 44-23 loss to the Chiefs last Sunday, Kittle had the pleasure of wearing a microphone for NFL films mid-game. Ever the colorful character and boisterous personality, the three-time Pro Bowl tight end didn’t disappoint.
Factor in a great six-catch, 98-yard, one-touchdown individual performance, and it’s obvious that Kittle came to play and have a lot of fun at the same time. I mean, look at this guy. He truly is having the time of his life at the highest level of football:

Knowing Kittle, that initial laugh in the face of Kansas City’s Joshua Williams does not have one hint of fakeness. He very much means every bit of that laughter. Even while the 49ers got pasted, it’s always awesome to see someone like Kittle simply enjoy playing the game.
