After Hellena Taylor's call for fans to boycott the sale of Bayonetta 3, voice actress Jennifer Hale responded to the controversy.
As a reminder, the actress who voices Bayonetta in the first two games, and in other titles like Super Smash Bros, Hellena Taylor, asked fans not to buy Bayonetta 3 and instead donate the money to charity. This is due to a disagreement over her initial offered salary.
For Bayonetta 3, Taylor was replaced by Jennifer Hale, who has decided to respond to the controversy.

"As a longtime member of the voice acting community, I support the right of all actors to be well-paid and have consistently advocated for it for years," Hale wrote in a statement issued on her Twitter. "Anyone who knows me, or who has followed my career, will know that I have respect for my colleagues and that I stand up for all members of the community."
Hale adds that she is under a confidentiality agreement, so she cannot speak freely about the matter. However, she affirms that "her reputation speaks for itself".

Lastly, in reference to the boycott, Hale does ask fans to consider that Bayonetta 3 has been created by a whole team of "hardworking and dedicated" people. The actress concludes by wishing that "all those involved can resolve their differences in a friendly and respectful manner".
Bayonetta 3 should become the next bestseller for Nintendo Switch; however, the effect of the boycott and the problem with Hellena Taylor is unknown.
Bayonetta 3 will be released on October 28th and here you can see what it's about, how much it costs, and its features.
