It was also reported that more than 25 million Peruvians have Comprehensive Health Insurance, which grants them free coverage for over 12,000 complex diagnoses and treatments, such as organ transplant, the most common types of cancer, and high-cost, rare, or orphan diseases, in all public health establishments in the country.
It also includes coverage for medication, analysis, surgery, hospitalization, emergency transfers, as well as a death grant of up to S/ 1,000.00.
In order to achieve medical coverage for all policyholders, the Executive transferred over S/ 1,600 million throughout the country.
How to join SIS?
To join SIS, two requirements must be met: having a national identification document (DNI) or foreigner identity card (carné de extranjería), and not having any other health insurance.
There are various channels available for affiliation: by accessing the mobile application "SIS: Ensure Yourself and Get Informed", through the WhatsApp number 941 986 682, via the email [email protected], or the toll-free number 113, option 4. Also on the website: https://www.gob.pe/sis.
Check if you are already affiliated with SIS
Through the same customer service channels, you can verify if someone is already affiliated with Comprehensive Health Insurance without the need to leave home. This is because, due to the pandemic and according to current regulations, the SIS automatically enrolls people who do not have any health insurance.
Therefore, it is recommended to check if you are insured with SIS through our channels before enrolling. It is quick and easy.
