After being involved in controversy for allegedly spitting on Chris Pine during the premiere of "Don't Worry Darling" at the Venice Festival, actor and singer Harry Styles broke his silence during a recent concert at Madison Square Garden in New York, United States.
While Pine's representatives denied the incident and made it clear that it was all part of a malicious invention on social media; Harry Styles, in his own style, decided to settle the controversy and make a joke about what happened.
"This is our tenth show at Madison Square Garden. It's wonderful to be back in New York. I just arrived quickly from the Venice Festival after spitting on Chris Pine", Styles said jokingly.
"But don't worry, we're back!", the actor and singer concluded, and was then applauded by the thousands of people in attendance at the venue.
The Controversy
As it is known, a video of actors Harry Styles and Chris Pine has generated different reactions on social media, where supposedly former One Direction member spat on his colleague at the 2022 Venice Festival.
The controversial video was recorded during the premiere of the movie "Don't Worry Darling," directed by Olivia Wilde, Styles' girlfriend. Some netizens claim that singer Harry clearly spat on Chris. While others pointed out that it never happened and that it's just the angle of the footage.
On the other hand, the premiere of the movie "Don't Worry Darling" at the Venice Festival has been surrounded by rumors of a supposed bad relationship between Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh during filming, although the director described them as "endless rumors."
