After it was revealed that the 1991 S/ 1 coin has an exorbitant collectible price (up to s/ 500), thousands of Peruvians are consulting numismatists for other valuable coins; one of the most curious coins would be the 10 cents from over 25 years ago. According to the 'Numismática Inca' channel, the 10 cents coin from 1997 would have a particular value, since few of them were minted during the Government of Alberto Fujimori, and even fewer are still in circulation.

"It has only 13 million coins", lower than the average, being even the second coin with the lowest minting, below the 10-cent coin from '91, with 12 million circulating copies.
"It is a little difficult to obtain and its approximate price without circulation is 30 soles", evaluated the expert, however, he emphasized the conservation state; since circulated cents would make the brass piece lose value.
Additionally, the 10-cent coin from '97 would have added value if it is found in its original roll, which would increase its value among collectors.
