CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Browns safety Grant Delpit left Saturday night’s final preseason game against the Bears and was taken to the locker room after getting injured in a play in the first quarter.

After spending time in the blue sideline medical tent, he was taken to the locker room and appeared to be smiling as he walked in with trainers. He was ruled questionable to return with a hip injury.
Delpit is in his third season after the Browns picked him the second round in the 2020 draft. He missed his entire rookie season after rupturing his Achilles during training camp.
Delpit started Saturday night’s game alongside John Johnson III and is expected to play an important role in the Browns’ defense as a starter next to Johnson.
