In Canada, the footage of a seemingly breathing tree found in a lush forest in this country has become a trend on social media platforms like YouTube, leaving millions of internet users in awe and trying to explain what they see.
An "unsettling" discovery
The footage was shared by the Viral Hog channel on this platform, in which we can see a crack in the trunk of a tree. As the camera gets closer, we can clearly see that it appears to be "heavy" breathing, but it doesn't last long and quickly cuts off.
Today we know that the clip was captured by a man who went to the Canadian forest to assist with "danger trees" (which pose a risk to people and property) due to the heavy rain and winds in Calgary (in the southern part of the country) dating back to last June.
The explanation of the strange phenomenon
The man was walking in the forest, checking a tree when suddenly he came across one that amazed him, so he didn't hesitate to pull out his cell phone and record the moment.
"Calgary was experiencing heavy rain and strong winds. My job is to assist with danger trees. After taking down some that had fallen and were hanging in other trees, we heard a loud 'crack' and saw this tree. The blowing wind made it appear to be breathing. As of today (June 19th), the tree is still standing," says the video description shared on YouTube.
