The former World Champion Jorge "El Travieso" Arce was arrested in Orange County, California, on Sunday, February 28th on charges of sexual abuse.
"El Travieso" was in California over the weekend to be part of the broadcast of the fight between Mexican boxer Leo Santa Cruz and Spanish boxer Kiko Martinez at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. After the fight, he is said to have forced a hotel employee to perform oral sex on him. According to information presented by the television network Telemundo, the boxer was released from jail in the early hours of Tuesday, March 1st after paying a $25,000 fine to ensure that he will appear before the judge in the coming days to answer to the charges.
As you may remember, "El Travieso" became world champion in five different weight divisions: minimumweight, flyweight, super flyweight, bantamweight, and super bantamweight. Retired since 2014, his record stands at 62-8-2 (47 KO). He is a native of Los Mochis and gained popularity in the entertainment world for his participation in reality shows such as Big Brother, Dancing with the Stars, or The Island, as well as being a specialized commentator for Televisa.
