'The King of Pop' left us too soon at the age of 50, but one of his most remembered songs is still playing for his fans. 'What more can i give' by Michael Jackson was born as a result of an interpretation about the tragedy of the Twin Towers in 2001, in which he joined voices with Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Carlos Santana, among other artists.

It is known that during the year 1999, Michael Jackson planned to release a similar song after traveling to South Africa to meet Nelson Mandela, the South African lawyer and human rights defender. At the time, the song already had multiple performers and was going to be called 'We are the World'.

Although the composition was ready in 2001, to include it on his album 'Invincible', the song did not see the light. The CEO of Sony at that time, Tommy Motto, decided that the single was not creative and canceled Jackson's project. Almost parallel, one of the most atrocious and remembered moments in American history occurred: the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers.

Despite the circumstances, Michael Jackson did not remain idle; he carried out a concert titled 'United We Stand: What More Can I Give', which had an impact worldwide: "I want everyone to sing 'What More Can I Give' so that we can unite as a world; I'm not one to sit back and say: oh well, too bad for them", he said at the time.

However, the single motivated by peace and inclusion among all people did not end there, as Michael Jackson decided to perform the song 'What More Can I Give' in Spanish, naming it 'Todo para ti'. Among the performers who lent their voices were: Alejandro Sanz, Cristian Castro, Gloria Estefan, Laura Pausini, Julio Iglesias, Shakira, Olga Tañón, Thalia, Juan Gabriel, and Luis Miguel, in a unique music video featuring all of them.
