These products, which are very common in the kitchen or pantry, are part of a great cleaning method that we will detail in this article. Doing so will ensure that the food doesn't alter its taste or cause health damage due to smoke produced by accumulated and burnt grease.

How to clean stuck grease in the oven quickly

  • First, remove the oven grates, thermometers, or pans and place them on kitchen paper or newspaper.
  • Mix equal parts of baking soda and water until a spreadable paste is formed. You can use 1/2 cup of each.
  • Using rubber gloves, cover the entire interior of the oven with the mixture. Avoid getting close to the heating elements and focus more on areas with grease buildup.
  • Let it sit for at least 12 hours.
  • To clean the grates, it's best to soak them in hot water for two hours. You can add detergent powder. After this time, clean with a scrub brush and rinse.
  • After 12 hours, use a damp cloth to remove the baking soda paste from the interior of the oven.
  • In a spray bottle, put some white vinegar and spray it all over the inner surface. A foam will be produced that will help remove any sticky residue.
  • To clean the glass door, you can also apply a little baking soda paste and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then, clean with a damp cloth or paper towel.
  • To clean the outside of the oven, mix equal parts of water and white vinegar and spray it on a cloth. Wipe the entire surface until the stains disappear.

How often should I clean the oven?

The more you use the oven to prepare your meals, the more splatters it will accumulate. If you notice something dripping on the bottom while cooking, you should clean the dirt once the appliance cools down. If you keep it grease-free, it's enough to do a deep cleaning once every six months.

However, make sure to regularly clean the interior with a damp cloth, hot water, and a squirt of liquid dish soap. It's recommended to do it after each use.
