About Call of Duty Vanguard

We are just a few days away from the release of Call of Duty Vanguard, the new installment developed by Sledgehammer Games, which will cover a well-known historical period like World War II. The change in setting will bring important novelties to Warzone, the saga's Battle Royale, as we will soon be saying goodbye to Verdansk.

The New Map - Caldera

Sledgehammer officially presented "Caldera" through its official blog, an island map set in the Pacific. This scenario has taken two years to develop, including information gathering and listening to the community. To build it, the same engine as Vanguard was used, that is, a modified version of the engine seen in Modern Warfare (2019).

Just like the previous two installments, Caldera is optimized to support cross-play, allowing both previous and next-generation consoles to interact, as well as PC users. All the equipment you have unlocked will also remain with you. As for its size, according to its creators, it can be compared in scale to Verdansk.

Introducing Ricochet and Early Access

Alongside the release of Caldera, the new anti-cheating system called "Ricochet" will be enabled. Those who have purchased Vanguard will have early access to the new Warzone content one day before its release on December 2nd. Besides the classic BR in the Pacific, "Rebirth Island" will still be available, although it has not been specified if it will change to a World War II aesthetic or remain as it currently is.

Verdansk Destruction in a Limited-Time Event

After 18 months, Verdansk will bid farewell to Battle Royale players. Therefore, a limited-time event is being prepared for November 30th. A spectacular farewell to the iconic map is promised.

The Launch of Caldera

Caldera will start on December 3rd. From the shared images, we will have different areas to explore, such as a place full of houses and an aircraft departure point. It goes without saying that on the same day, the first season of Call of Duty Vanguard will start, introducing new maps, weapons, and zombie mode updates.
