After the fight at the Luis 'Pirata' Fuente, Fidel Kuri Grajales spoke exclusively to La Última Palabra and didn't hold back regarding the Codesal incident, whom he attacked in the stadium's boxes.
"It was not an aggression towards Codesal. They introduced him to me and, with all due respect, I told him 'you have done a lot of damage to Mexican football' and when Villalba was sent off, I told him it wasn't a red card and I wanted to discuss it with him, but he rudely told me to go to my mo..."
Kuri stated that the ex-referee was the first one to disrespect him and the situation bothered him to the point where he challenged him to tell the truth about what happened.
"It's not fair that Mr. Codesal responded to me the way he did. We were idiots for losing, but for this Mr. Codesal to tell me 'you go f...' when what happened with Villalba was a delicate issue, it bothered me. Ask him, if he's a real man he will say what he responded to me and if he's not a real man, he will run away like a coward."
Fidel Kuri Grajales stated that he will accept any sanctions imposed on him by the Mexican Football Federation as long as there are no consequences for his son.
