Tribunal Deportivo of the German Football Federation (DFB) sanctions Marcus Thuram with five games suspension and a 400,000 euros fine
The Tribunal Deportivo of the German Football Federation (DFB) agreed on Monday to sanction French player Marcus Thuram, from Borussia Mönchengladbach, with a five-game suspension and a 400,000 euros fine for spitting on an opponent.
Thuram, who has already been fined by his own club with a salary equivalent to one month, was directly red-carded in the Bundesliga match that faced Gladbach and Hoffenheim last Saturday for spitting on his rival, Stefan Posch.
In addition to the five-game suspension, the German Federation reported that there will be an additional suspended one-game suspension until December 2021. EFE
