Pirlo will debut with his international diploma (UEFA Pro License) on Sunday in the first round of the new edition of the Italian League.
The former player of Milan and Juventus underwent an oral evaluation of his thesis on Monday, titled "The football that I would like," explained the Italian Federation.
His thesis, composed of 30 pages divided into three sections ("Offensive Phase," "Defensive Phase," "Transitions"), was published on the internet by the Federation.
"I would like a total and collective football, with eleven active players in both the offensive and defensive phases," explains Pirlo, a few days before putting his methods into practice in Serie A.
Meanwhile, Thiago Motta, who briefly coached Genoa last season in Serie A, obtained the highest grade in the new promotion, which also includes the 2006 World Cup champion Luca Toni and Vincenzo Italiano, coach of Spezia Calcio (newly promoted to Serie A).
