Second: García Plaza replaces Moreno on the RCD Mallorca bench
Luis García Plaza has become the new coach of RCD Mallorca, as confirmed by the Balearic club in a statement, following the departure of the previous Bermellón coach to RCD Espanyol.
García, who will replace Vicente Moreno on the Bermellón bench next season in LaLiga SmartBank, has "extensive experience in Spanish football, where he has coached teams such as Levante, Getafe, or Villarreal and has accumulated 270 official matches", according to Mallorca.
With Levante, Luis García promoted to the First Division and consolidated it in the highest category before moving to Getafe CF.
After almost three seasons at Getafe, the Madrid-born coach's next challenges were abroad, where he has coached Baniyas CS (United Arab Emirates), Beijing Renhe (the team with which he promoted to the Chinese Super League), and Al-Shabab Club (Saudi Arabia). In the 2018-19 season, he also coached Villarreal for nine matches.
