Sevilla FC beat Roma with authority and will face Wolverhampton
The Sevilla FC convincingly defeated AS Roma (2-0) in the match played on Thursday in Duisburg (Germany) and advanced to the quarter-finals of the Europa League, a tournament in which they showed against the Italian rival that they want to win and achieve their sixth championship trophy.
Left back Sergio Reguilón (m.22) and Moroccan forward Youssef En-Nesyri (m.44) scored the goals for Julen Lopetegui's team in the first half, in which the Spanish team was far superior. In the second half, they were more passive but always in control of the situation and even had several opportunities to increase the score.
The Andalusians will face Wolverhampton, the team of Mexican striker Raúl Jiménez, in the quarter-finals. Wolverhampton qualified on Thursday, along with Bayer Leverkusen and Basilea.
It is worth mentioning that Sevilla FC has won the second continental competition on the five occasions they reached the penultimate round.
