Former Juventus Star Andrea Pirlo Appointed as Sub-23 Team Coach
Former Juventus star player, Italian national team member, and 2006 World Cup champion Andrea Pirlo has been appointed as the coach of the Juventus Sub-23 team, as confirmed by the Turin-based club.
“Andrea is the new coach of the Sub-23 team. Welcome, Coach Pirlo,” the bianconeri club announced. “We are faced with a challenge, a comeback that can only please us. Welcome back, Coach Pirlo!”
“He will bring his experience from the 2006 World Cup to the Sub-23 players, a young project in full development that has achieved its first title this year, the Serie C Italian Cup,” celebrated the 'Vecchia Signora'.
During Pirlo's four seasons, Juventus won four Serie A titles, one Coppa Italia, and two Supercoppa Italiana trophies.
