AC Milan defeats Sampdoria with Ibrahimovic leading the way

In the penultimate matchday of the league season, AC Milan left no chance for Sampdoria, driven by Ibrahimovic who, at 38 years old, scored his ninth goal in 17 games with the Milan club, to which he returned in January after his contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy expired.

The Swedish forward only needed three minutes to overcome the young Italian goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone, who was making his debut in Serie A, with a powerful header from Hakan Calhanoglu's cross. He also provided an assist to his Turkish teammate in the second half, resulting in a 2-0 lead (m.52).

Just six minutes later, Calhanoglu once again offered an excellent assist to Ibrahimovic, who completed his personal brace.

Sampdoria gave everything to score a consolation goal and managed to do so, with the young Norwegian Kristoffer Askildsen (1-3), after Gianluigi Donnarumma saved a penalty from the Argentine Gonzalo Maroni, before Leao sealed the match with the final 4-1 for AC Milan.

With these three points, AC Milan, who achieved eight wins and three draws in their last eleven games, secured sixth place and temporarily moved within one point of Roma in fifth, who will face Torino on Wednesday.
