"Now you will say that I don't want to train," the player declared ironically to the journalists present in Torbole Casaglia, Brescia's training place, as reported by the Italian media.
The club's version, however, is different, as they claim that Balotelli sent a medical certificate last night stating that he could return to play, but the email arrived late, so administratively they could not allow the player to enter.
Last week Balotelli did not show up for training and cited a gastric problem, although Brescia hinted that he had not previously informed the club and therefore his absence was not justified, as reported by "La Gazzetta dello Sport".
This clash with the northern team is the latest episode of a relationship that has become tense in recent weeks, and it has reached the point where Brescia requested unilaterally terminate the contract last Friday, which should end on June 30.
Balotelli signed with the city's club last summer, with the aim of shining again as he did in the past with Inter Milan or Manchester City, although in recent years he faded away in the French league.
