On March 29, the sad news broke that Melody Pisani, 25 years old, girlfriend of soccer player Ricardo Centurión, had passed away from a cardiac arrest while driving her car.

Today, a month and a half later, the Vélez Sarsfield footballer spoke to the press for the first time about the incident: "I am very angry, very hurt about a lot of things with God. He is the one who decides when someone has to go. Today that is how I feel. Maybe in two years my thoughts will be different. Today I have this pain and this grief," Centurion stated.

"We were together for six and a half years. Living together for four. She was a warrior. She taught me everything, that material things and all that is not what makes you happy. At 13, she had a transplant, at 20, she had cancer. During that time, I was in San Pablo and I would come back after each chemotherapy session, I wanted to be by her side," added the footballer in an interview with Radio Continental.

As it is remembered, Melody was driving her car while in Argentina the quarantine had already been declared. "We made a mistake. She was a high-risk person. We broke quarantine and went to my mom's house," confessed Centurion, current teammate of Luis Abram.

"She arrived at my mom's house in her car, everything was fine, she was cheerful. And at 6 she went to her house in Banfield to buy meat and a few things. And that's what happened," the 27-year-old player recalled.

As for his present, Centurion stated that soccer is his hope to feel better. "Now, the best thing that can happen to me is for soccer to return. Because besides seeing yourself behind a camera, it won't be the same as having mate with teammates, training normally, having good times. I don't see any other way out," the footballer said.
