Cienciano Players Express Disappointment After Relegation
Adding a descent is something no football player desires. Especially if it is with a historical team. That's how the players of Cienciano felt this Sunday. One of the most affected was Carlos Orejuela, who scored 19 goals with the team. The striker made a self-criticism so that the Cusqueño team returns to the first division soon.
"If the stadium had been filled like now, this wouldn't have happened. But we are all responsible: the fans, us, and the directors. Look at such a beautiful team leaving the first division. Cienciano has to change for the better," commented Carlos Orejuela.
Goalkeeper Diego Carranza couldn't hide his anger about the sad outcome for 'Papá' . "It's a shame what we are going through, for us, for the people, for this city. Cienciano didn't deserve to go like this. I leave with anger and sadness," he pointed out.
Meanwhile, Mario Tajima dared to point out one culprit for Cienciano's relegation. "The pain we feel is immense. I leave very sad, but there is only one culprit here, and that is Green with Rebagliati, who did nothing for this club," he fired.
THE FACT: Cienciano suffered its second relegation. Previously, it happened in 1977. The team avoided relegation in 1994 and 2010.
