René Higuita joins the campaign to stop the spread of the coronavirus
The world-renowned René Higuita, former Colombian goalkeeper, has joined various sports personalities in urging citizens to respect the provisions aimed at stopping the spread of the coronavirus.
The former goalkeeper shared a meme where he appears during his footballer days. In the photograph, he is seen outside the area, a characteristic of him, with the phrase "if they tell you not to go out, don't go out".
"Today I have received this image a lot, if this photo serves to raise awareness, I will also use it. Health comes first, if you can do your things, don't go out," Higuita wrote on his Twitter account.
The photograph that stars in the meme shared by René Higuita is from when Colombia was eliminated from the 1990 World Cup in Italy. In the action, the goalkeeper loses the ball and Roger Milla takes advantage to score and give Cameroon the qualification.
