UEFA has assured all fans who purchased tickets through their official sales portal that they will fully refund the paid price if they cannot attend the tournament, which has been postponed for twelve months and is now scheduled from June 11 to July 11, 2021.
Details about the refund system will be communicated no later than mid-April to interested parties via email and at the website euro2020.com/tickets.
UEFA has published a guide on its website for fans to consult on how to proceed with the twelve-month postponement of the competition due to the coronavirus pandemic, regarding aspects related to ticket refunds - 28.3 million requests -, hotel and flight reservations, or payments made with an expiring VISA card before 2021.
It also includes recommendations for the planned activities in the fan zones in the twelve cities hosting the competition and for the volunteers. UEFA had received 37,000 applications to perform this role.
