Two more Fiorentina players tested positive for COVID-19, along with the team's physiotherapist. The Italian Serie A club said on Twitter this Saturday that Argentine defender Germán Pezzella, team captain, forward Patrick Cutrone, and physio Stefano Dainelli "are healthy at their homes in Florence". They were tested "after showing some symptoms."

In his Instagram account, Pezzella wrote that "the symptoms disappeared and I am at my home following the procedures indicated by the health department of my club."

"Surely, this will be another story to tell soon. Take care of your health and your loved ones," added the 28-year-old Argentine international.

Fiorentina had announced on Friday that 20-year-old Serbian forward Dušan Vlahović had tested positive.

With Cutrone and Pezzella added to the list with Vlahović, now there are nine players from Serie A who have tested positive. The others are Daniele Rugani from Juventus, as well as five Sampdoria players: Manolo Gabbiadini, Omar Colley, Albin Ekdal, Antonino La Gumina, and Morten Thorsby.

Serie A has suspended its actions at least until April 3, as part of national measures in Italy to contain the coronavirus outbreak.

Most patients quickly recover after experiencing moderate symptoms such as fever and cough. For some, especially the elderly and people with health problems, the virus can cause more severe problems, including pneumonia. (D)
