Chelsea announces first case of coronavirus in Premier League player

Chelsea announced late Thursday night that their winger Callum Hudson-Odoi tested positive for the new coronavirus, becoming the first case detected in a Premier League player.

Earlier, Arsenal announced that their manager Mikel Arteta tested positive, which led to the postponement of their match against Brighton scheduled for Saturday.

An emergency meeting will be held on Friday morning to decide if the English championship, which generates the most money in the world, will continue.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is a 19-year-old English footballer. He plays as a winger and made his debut for Chelsea on January 28th, 2018, in a FA Cup match against Newcastle.
