Oporto aware of interest in Zé Luís

Oporto is aware of the interest from several clubs in signing their forward Zé Luís (28 years old). Among the most prominent names are Sevilla and Tottenham. Both clubs would be open to negotiating a loan deal until the end of the season. However, after making contact with the Portuguese entity, it seems unlikely that the player's departure will happen during this winter transfer window. The player is also not very interested in leaving Oporto.

Lack of liquidity prevents Sevilla and Tottenham from signing Zé Luís

According to the Portuguese newspaper A Bola, neither Sevilla nor Tottenham have the necessary liquidity to sign Zé Luís permanently. With two weeks left before the winter transfer window closes, it seems unlikely that the Spanish League and the Premier League will welcome the Cape Verdean footballer. On the other hand, Sérgio Conceição, Oporto's coach, considers him an important piece within the squad. The club's participation in four competitions is reason enough to prevent his departure.

No loan deal, only permanent transfer

The transfer offer is on the table. A loan deal is not being sought. If any team wants to sign the striker, it must be through a permanent transfer. During the summer transfer window, Oporto signed him from Spartak Moscow for €9.5 million. The Portuguese club wants to make a profit from his possible departure if it happens. Zé Luís has a contract until June 2023, a release clause of €40 million, and this season he has scored eight goals in 20 matches.
