Carlos Agustín Duarte Martínez, 37, is a forward. He started in 2005 with the Villarrica Selection in the Interligas, until he was promoted to Intermedia in 2016.
In an exclusive interview with Última Hora newspaper, Lito stated that after ascending to Intermedia, the team was renamed Guaireña, which continues to make history and provide emotions to the Guaireño people, according to the player.
"We won promotion with determination and it was in that last match against Fernando de la Mora that we won, which elevated us directly as champions. It was tough, but it was worth it," Duarte said.
He also mentioned that in 2018 they were only one goal away from ascending to First Division. He said it was a bitter and difficult pill to swallow for the managers and fans in general, but finally in 2019 that opportunity came.
Regarding the addition of new players, he said they are all good professionals and good people.
He mentioned that with humility and sacrifice, great objectives can be achieved, and one of them is to stay in the First Division category.
