The TSJM ratifies that Sevilla FC must pay 4.1 million to Las Palmas for Vitolo
The Madrid Superior Court of Justice (TSJM) has dismissed the appeal filed by Sevilla FC against the arbitral award that sentenced them to pay more than 4.1 million euros to UD Las Palmas for the so-called 'Vitolo case', the Canary Islands club reported on Wednesday.

The ruling of the Civil and Criminal Chamber of the TSJM, notified this Tuesday to UD Las Palmas, rejects in its entirety the request for annulment filed by Sevilla against the award issued by the Arbitral Tribunal of Football (TAF), of the Professional Football League.
The dispute arose in relation to the economic participation of UD Las Palmas in the signing of Víctor Machín 'Vitolo' by Atlético Madrid. The island club claimed 12.5 percent for the payment of the player's release clause after his incorporation into Atlético Madrid in January 2018, although he played the first months of that season with the Gran Canaria team, until the Madrid club served a ban that prevented them from signing players.
Vitolo unilaterally terminated his contract with Sevilla by paying the Seville club almost 36 million euros, and UD Las Palmas claimed the agreed percentage when the player was transferred in 2013 from the Gran Canaria club to Sevilla.

As a result, the Civil and Criminal Chamber of the Madrid Superior Court of Justice confirms the TAF award, according to which Sevilla was ordered to pay UD Las Palmas 4,106,025 euros, plus interest and costs. The statement from the Canary Islands club adds that Sevilla may appeal this ruling to the Constitutional Court.
