Dragon Ball Super: Why did Cell never return in his own saga? Is there favoritism towards Freezer? [PHOTOS]

The anime brought back one of the most formidable villains in the entire franchise: Freezer. This time it was an alliance to fight in the Tournament of Power, but just at the end of the series it was revealed that Whis revived him definitively.

That's where the plot of Dragon Ball Super: Broly begins. Freezer rescues Paragus and his son to serve him in eliminating Goku and the Earth. Unfortunately, his plans were thwarted by the fusion of Gogeta.

Cell, on the other hand, appeared briefly in the movie. Specifically in the recapitulation part of what had happened in the past. Of course, the fans reacted surprised.

But to the bad luck of all, Akira Toriyama simply does not want him in his story and the reason is very simple. The animators have constantly complained that drawing the points on his body is too troublesome.

This is one of the reasons why we don't see Cell back in the new arcs of Dragon Ball Super. Nevertheless, he remains one of the favorites of the community, since he can escalate his level infinitely.

Let's remember that the villain has saiyan cells along with those of Piccolo and Freezer. The major problem is that he must consume living beings to absorb their ki. Undoubtedly, he would be a good competitor against Jiren and Ultra Instinct Goku.

For now, the manga has a somewhat similar enemy. Moro is capable of absorbing the life energy of entire planets to become much stronger than before. How will Goku and Vegeta face this threat?
