Ben Yedder leaves Sevilla to join AS Monaco

It was an open secret, but it has just been officially announced. Wissam Ben Yedder is leaving Sevilla FC to join AS Monaco. There is no doubt that he is a guarantee reinforcement for the project led by Leonardo Jardim, who trusts in reversing their negative start in Ligue 1 last weekend (0-3 at home against Olympique de Lyon).

Ben Yedder has performed sensationally during his time in Nervión. Last season, along with Pablo Sarabia, now in the ranks of PSG, he was by far the best player for the Seville team. Therefore, it will be difficult for Sevilla to replace him, although it is true that Julen Lopetegui will do everything possible to achieve it starting from the 2019-2020 season.

It is evident that Ben Yedder has been one of the best forwards in the past domestic championship, proving himself both as a scorer and as an assistant. Therefore, Monaco welcomes with open arms a player who possesses talent and quality in abundance on the field. Will he be able to shine on his own at the Louis II Stadium?

It should be noted that the level of the French League is far from the competitiveness that reigns in our country, although there are always interesting matches when PSG, Lyon, Olympique de Marseille, Monaco or Saint-Étienne face each other. Meanwhile, Sevilla will have to readjust their squad due to Ben Yedder's departure.

@WissBenYedder has been transferred to @AS_Monaco. #WeareSevilla.
