How much will the PS5 cost? | What will be the price of the PlayStation 5? The eternal console war between Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo has enabled the rapid development of video games and the entrance into a new era in the industry, which will soon be expanded when Sony officially launches its next generation of consoles, led by the PS5.
As Microsoft took over E3 2019 when it revealed that the 'Project Scarlett' would be its next console, Sony wouldn't be left behind for long, so the announcement of the PlayStation 5 is a matter of time.

Each company, at its own pace, has revealed key details of their next projects, including technical data, processing power, frame rate, and much more, although very little has been said about the final price of these products.
Being realistic, price is one of the main characteristics that fans review in a console. While it is true that they all have a similar price, the most economical product will always win in sales compared to others that offer the same, as long as it maintains quality.
Additionally, if the PS5 or the Xbox Scarlett are too expensive, a certain number of their consumers will not be able to afford the next generation consoles. The relationship between the maximum price set by the company for the console and the amount that its users can pay is vital for achieving maximum sales.
Now, how much should the PS5 cost or how much will it cost in the future? The logical thing is to compare the previous releases from Sony: the PS3 had an approximate price of $499 and the PS4 was launched with an entry price of $599. Will the PS5 enter the market with a price of $699?
Considering the aforementioned, such a high price would not be beneficial for the company and it would also not be good for Sony's previous consoles. Currently, the PS4 Pro is priced at around $450, so selling the new console at that price or a little higher would quickly devalue the previous generation.
So: this didn't make it into my PlayStation story, but given how much people are speculating about the Sony console's price (esp given the SSD/chip combo), thought I should probably give a tiny little bit of interview transcript on it. (1/2)

According to analyst Peter Rubin from the publication Wired, who spoke with Mark Cerny, the architect of the PlayStation 5, the console would have an attractive price for gamers, a price suggested for the market, and in line with its predecessors.
Clearly, the price of the PS5 would range between $550 and $650, depending on whether they will be launched with any game bundles or extra controllers. It's necessary to remember that the PlayStation 5 will not arrive alone, but alongside its direct competition, the Xbox Scarlett, so the price variation will also depend on the final cost of Microsoft's console.
Finally, it must be emphasized that the PS5 will not be a modification of the PS4 like the PS4 Pro was, but it will have a completely new architecture. Its GPU will be based on the third generation AMD Ryzen, with eight 7nm Zen 2 cores. It will also include 16 GB of GDDR6 RAM and a 1 TB solid-state drive.
For now, we can only wait for the company itself to confirm the launch price of the PS5, something that will not be revealed until mid-2020, as it is expected that the new console will be released by the end of next year, 2020, or at the beginning of 2021.
