After more than two years in secrecy, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics revealed at E3 2019 the truth about the new project they were working on with Marvel. "Marvel's Avengers" is the name of the video game that will be coming soon to the latest generation consoles.
"The Avengers Project" was first announced in early 2017 by Marvel Entertainment with a sad trailer. It shows various ruins of what seems to be the last place where the company's most powerful heroes fell.
It took two long years for the official Avengers video game to be finally revealed. Apparently, they will arrive with new adventures in the Marvel universe to fight against the forces of evil.

STORY AND CHARACTERS OF "MARVEL'S AVENGERS"
At the moment, there is not much information about what kind of story "Marvel's Avengers" will develop. From the gameplay shown at E3 2019, each Avenger will develop their own individual story until they finally converge as the group of superheroes everyone knows as the Avengers.
Not much is known about which villains they will face in this new adventure, as only one has been confirmed by the game's preview videos: Taskmaster. This enemy will attack the city of San Francisco alongside his henchmen, and it will be the Avengers' duty to repel his attack.
It has been confirmed that Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Black Widow will be present. Many fans have complained about the absence of Hawkeye, but Square Enix has mentioned the possibility of adding more characters to the Avengers group later on.
HOW TO PLAY AND TECHNICAL DETAILS OF "MARVEL'S AVENGERS"
Most of the information shared by the game developers was related to the gameplay and controls. The game will mainly focus on online multiplayer, as it will allow each hero to be controlled by a person.
Each Avenger will have their own powers according to the Marvel comics and movies, specializing in certain types of missions. For example, Iron Man will be able to swiftly soar through the skies to save civilians from above, and Hulk will specialize in clearing a path on the ground against enemy artillery.
There will be the possibility of performing combos with close combat and each Avenger's weapons, as well as "quick-time events" that need to be successfully completed to progress further.
On the other hand, players who prefer a solo experience will also be able to do so, as the game will offer single-player gameplay compatibility so that they don't feel the need for others to progress through the game's missions.
The developers have also confirmed that there will be no loot boxes or pay-to-win strategies in the game, but there will be a monetization system for aesthetic features with each Avenger. All users will be able to customize their heroes as they wish.
There is still no official technical information about the game, but as we get closer to the release date, the company will reveal the minimum and recommended requirements to play the game properly on PC.

Marvel's Avengers will arrive on Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Google Stadia on May 15, 2020. There is still no price and nothing has been confirmed about the upcoming consoles from Sony and Microsoft, but it is very likely that if the companies decide to release new content periodically for the game, this installment will also be available for PS5 and Xbox Scarlett.
