Stefano Peschiera has been chosen as the flag bearer of the Peruvian delegation at Lima 2019
The sailor will carry the national flag during the opening ceremony of the Pan American Games.
The Peruvian Olympic Committee (COP) announced the selection of the 24-year-old athlete during a ceremony at San Ignacio de Loyola University (USIL). Other representatives from our country also attended this event.
The great news for Stefano Peschiera and all the national competitors was also confirmed through the official social media of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games.
"Congratulations Stefano Peschiera! Our first qualifier for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics will also be our flag bearer at Lima 2019. We are very happy to have you!", they said.
