Is the end of an era approaching?
PlayStation Plus is going through one of its worst moments and it is estimated that the situation will not improve anytime soon. Sony published its financial results, in which they boasted of selling over 82 million PS4s.
However, according to Gamingbolt, one of PlayStation's most solid sources of income is declining. Between March and June, a loss of 300 thousand subscriptions was reported.
Sony reported at the end of May that PlayStation Plus had reached 34 million subscribed users, but by June 31st, the number had already dropped to 33.9 million. March alone closed with 34 million, indicating a constant decline in 2018.
PlayStation has not yet presented a contingency plan for the decrease in user interest. Let's remember that PS Plus allows using Sony's servers to play online, as well as access to different free downloadable games as long as the service is paid for.
