The president of Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentiis, admitted his interest in Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, as the Napoli team lost their starting goalkeeper for the new season, Alex Meret, due to injury.

De Laurentiis has been participating in a program focused on the transfer market on the Naples radio station "Radio Kiss Kiss" for a few days, where he is asked to confirm or deny the rumors circulating in the press.

When asked if he is interested in Guillermo Ochoa, the current goalkeeper for Standard Lieja, De Laurentiis assured that "it is a real possibility offered by the market," although he also informed that his club is considering the profile of Italian Francesco Bardi.

Ochoa, a 98-time Mexican international and former player of Málaga and Granada among others, is an internationally experienced player who would complement the Napoli squad, which already has Meret and Greek goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis.

The southern club is thinking of strengthening their goalkeeping position as Meret, signed this summer from Udinese for 25 million euros, will be out due to a fractured ulna suffered in preseason.
