Alex Ferguson was seen on April 29th and then we found out about the tragedy. However, he made his first public appearance through a video shared on all platforms of Manchester United that has already gone viral on Youtube.
The Scotsman worried the fans of the 'Red devils' and football in general due to his health condition. On May 5th, the retired coach underwent emergency surgery at Salford Royal Hospital.
After the operation, which was caused by a brain hemorrhage, Sir Alex Ferguson remained in intensive care for several days to continue the recovery process with all the necessary medical care.
"I want to thank all the fans for the support they have given me. It has made me feel very humble, as well as all the messages I have received from around the world", said the former Manchester United.
"I also want to thank the medical staff at Macclesfield, Salford Royal, and Alexandra hospitals. Believe me, without those people who took such good care of me, I wouldn't be sitting here today. Thank you on behalf of me and my family," he added.
Ferguson promised the fans of Manchester United that they will see him again at Old Trafford. "I will return later in the season to see the team and, in the meantime, all the best to José Mourinho and the players", he concluded.
