The Female MMA Evolution: A Fighter Takes on a Man

The level of women in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) has evolved by leaps and bounds in recent years. But no fighter is as tough as the one in this YouTube video.

In footage posted on YouTube by the Russian MMA promoter, Marsey Fight Club, we can see local fighter Anzhelika Stepanenko, who has accepted a fight under equal conditions... against a man.

Fighting in the same weight division and under the same conditions (without protection), Anzhelika Stepanenko showed great aggression in her stand-up combat against an opponent who preferred takedowns.

Despite being theoretically at a power disadvantage, the fierce Russian fighter never backed down in the striking exchanges. In fact, she ended up winning by unanimous decision from the judges.

Although this fight has not been endorsed by any athletic commission, it may not be the first time we witness a cage match between a man and a woman. However, it has also received a lot of criticism. Do you agree with this type of spectacle?
