The mobile game Pokémon GO has redefined the genre of augmented reality mobile titles. Millions of players around the world already enjoy catching creatures with their cell phones, but the game can still improve.
The occlusion technology has been presented by Niantic, the developing company. The goal is to make augmented reality a much more realistic element than it is now. They will achieve this by hiding the virtual object behind real objects.
Pokémon GO is working on a new gaming experience. As shown in the video, creatures will be able to explore parts of the environment that you point the camera at. The game will measure the distances of objects in order to hide virtual elements.
Once an object is placed in front of the virtual object, it will temporarily disappear. This technology will first be used in a provisional game called Neon, these are the images of the new game by Niantic.
