The Galaxy will be hosting their fifth annual Pride Night, with special -up jerseys to commemorate the theme.
Forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be returning to the starting line up after serving a one-game suspension for a red card he earned in the match in Montreal on Monday May 21. There were rumors of the possibility of additional games, but Ibrahimovic was not hit with further sanctions.
The Dos Santos brothers will both be unavailable for this match, with both competing with the Mexican national team ahead of this summer’s World Cup. Jonathan Dos Santos has been syncing well with midfielder Perry Kitchen, so the center of the field may be a concern for the Galaxy in this match.
Forward Ola Kamara has scored a goal in each of his two previous matches against FC Dallas, including one in the Galaxy’s 3-2 loss in Dallas on May 12. The other was on Aug. 26 when Kamara was with the Columbus Crew. Fans are hoping he can continue this scoring streak on Wednesday.
Defensively, the Galaxy have greatly improved since their form in the beginning of May, earning clean sheets in their last two matches. The last time the Galaxy have had back-to-back clean sheets was in the last two matches of the 2016 season. With some consistency in the back line, the team hopes to continue its current defensive form.
