Six Juventus fans injured during club celebration parade
Six Juventus fans were injured during their club's season celebration parade when the truck they were traveling in on Saturday hit the tram's power lines, according to the Italian press.
After the last league match of 'Juve', a 2-1 victory over Hellas Verona on Saturday, the club organized a parade to celebrate their seventh consecutive Serie A title and fourth consecutive Italian Cup title.
According to reports, the truck was carrying fans belonging to one of the fan groups of the 'bianconeri' team and the accident occurred due to a collision with the tram's power lines.
The six affected individuals were hospitalized, with two of them suffering from more serious injuries. One was being treated for a concussion and the other for a neck injury.
Among the injured fans identified, one is a 38-year-old Italian and another is a 63-year-old Irish man.
This incident overshadowed a festive day for Juventus, as they bid an emotional farewell to their iconic goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who played his last match after 17 years defending their goal.
