New Game Mode Arrives at Fortnite: Battle Royale
A new game mode arrives at Fortnite: Battle Royale. It's called 'Solo Showdown' which, as its name implies, will be a single-player experience with a slight change in the classic game mode.
In this game mode, there will be leaderboards and the matchmaking will be based on that. Yes, the days of entering matches and facing players much more experienced than you are over.
With this mode, which will be available for a limited time, Epic Games ensures to eliminate the randomness factor when generating matches. Usually, the players who enter the matchmaking queue, regardless of their experience, are the first to enter.

On the other hand, the Fortnite team has confirmed that they will use the data from this game mode to create tournaments and different competitions within the Battle Royale. To determine the score and your position, the first 50 matches will be taken into account.
