Memo Rojas Jr. recovers confidence and good feelings in the search to defend his title in the European Le Mans Series

The Mexican driver Memo Rojas Jr. recovered confidence and good feelings in the search to defend his title in the European Le Mans Series, after finishing third in the 4 Hours of Monza race.

Driving the '#28' car of the IDEC Sport Racing team, Memo Rojas and his teammates are now 15 points behind the leaders of G-Drive Racing, who have 37 points, in the LMP2 category this season, so the chances of winning the title again have resurfaced.

"It was a very difficult race, very competitive, with 10 cars capable of fighting for the podium. We managed to move forward despite all the difficulties," he emphasized.

He added that there were many strategic issues that they had to overcome and despite not going in their favor, "we had the speed and pace to recover. We were one of the fastest cars."

He expressed his satisfaction with the IDEC Sport Racing team, which has achieved its first podium in the history of the European Le Mans Series. "It is a pride for me that we are achieving these results in such a short time."

Rojas Jr. also expressed his gratitude to those who have supported him, "we continue fighting to defend our championship from last year and we have approached the leaders abruptly."

Although he knows that achieving the back-to-back championship in this category will be a tough task, for now he has accumulated 22 points in individual performance compared to the leader Andrea Pizzitola's 37 points.

"This is getting very competitive, as it will be a very tough season. There are 20 cars in the LMP2 class and we are very happy to be fighting at the top. Our next commitment is the most important of the season, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where we will be working to bring victory to Mexico," the Mexican driver affirmed.
