Minnesota United Falls to Los Angeles FC in MLS

The Minnesota United with Alexi Gómez played the full 90 minutes but fell to Los Angeles FC in the MLS. The Peruvian team was dominated from start to finish by their opponents and couldn't do much throughout the match. The game ended 2-0 in favor of the home team, who continue to be at the top of the league despite it being their first season in the Major League Soccer.

Match Report

As expected, Los Angeles FC started the match dominating as they wanted to take advantage of playing at home. They didn't waste their chances and took the lead through Eduard Atuesta in the 31st minute, with an assist from Italian Diego Rossi.

Shortly after scoring the first goal, they made it 2-0, this time with Latif Blessing providing the play for Mark-Anthony Kaye to score in the 37th minute. Neither team managed to score again in the second half.

This is the Peruvian's third match with Minnesota United in the MLS. It's the second game he starts as a starter and the first where he plays the full 90 minutes. It seems that the popular 'hiena' is finding his place in his new club, which seems to have welcomed him well despite the problems he had at Atlas earlier this year.

Match Summary

With this result, Los Angeles FC have 19 points and are second in the Western Conference. Their next opponent will be New York City, featuring another Peruvian, Alexander Callens. Meanwhile, Minnesota United remains in fifth place with 12 points and their next match will be played at home against the San Jose Earthquakes.
