Google Chrome 66
Google Chrome 66 is a new version that will block the audio of automatic video playback. The news is well received by the users of this browser, despite the wait for such a simple function.
Browsing the Internet can be a tedious task if you use many tabs and just one - lost among so many others - plays a video whose sound is really annoying.
The new function of Chrome 66 is not so new if we consider that it has always been available manually. The novelty now is that it will be activated automatically.
According to a statement from Google, the browser will take into account user preferences to activate or deactivate video sound. In case of not having a history, the system will allow automatic playback of videos with audio on more than 1,000 websites where the percentage of users who play the videos is high.
