Apple bets on augmented reality.
The Cupertino giant has been developing a virtual and augmented reality helmet, something highly innovative for the gadgets currently on the market.
CNET reported that Apple has been working with 8K resolution lenses for each eye, achieving a superior quality compared to the competition.
Another detail is that Apple's helmet will be connected to a box that uses short-range, high-speed wireless technology. This box will serve as Apple's most powerful processor in the history of the company's devices. The project is codenamed T288.
Apple has not commented on the matter. Considering the sophistication of the gadget, Apple's helmet would be ready by 2020.
