Juventus secures a thrilling 3-2 victory against Inter Milan

Argentinian Gonzalo Higuaín completed the comeback for Juventus on Saturday to secure a 3-2 victory against Inter Milan at San Siro, ensuring their lead in the Italian Serie A (First Division) after an intense match.

Juventus took an early 1-0 lead and enjoyed numerical superiority since the 15th minute, but faced an epic comeback from Inter Milan, with goals from Argentine Mauro Icardi and an own goal from Andrea Barzagli, before sealing the victory with two goals between the 88th and 90th minute.

In a match of immense physical and mental intensity, Juventus managed to turn the match around with a great performance from Argentine Paulo Dybala, who entered the field in the 61st minute and played a crucial role in the 2-2 equalizer and the 3-2 winning goal, providing the assist for Higuaín.

The "bianconeri" celebrated the victory emphatically, as they temporarily extended their lead to four points over their closest pursuer, who will play against Fiorentina in Florence tomorrow, after losing last week's direct clash against Napoli.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri opted for a 4-3-3 formation on Saturday, with Colombian Juan Guillermo Cuadrado adapted as a right-back and an offensive trident consisting of Costa, Higuaín, and Croatian Mario Mandzukic.

The Turin team started aggressively and dominated Inter Milan in their half, which allowed them to take the lead in the 13th minute through Douglas Costa, who surprised Slovenian goalkeeper Samir Handanovic with a deflected left-footed shot by Antonio Candreva.

The early goal made Inter lose lucidity, and their situation became even more difficult in the 15th minute when Vecino was shown a direct red card for a harsh foul on Mandzukic, after the referee reviewed the action with the help of VAR.

In a heated and controversial San Siro, Juventus controlled possession and came close to a 2-0 lead in the final minute of the first half, but the referee disallowed the goal from Frenchman Blaise Matuidi for offside.

Juventus reduced their intensity in the second half, aiming to defend their precious lead, but faced a highly aggressive Inter Milan, who rallied and completed an unexpected comeback in twenty minutes.

In the 52nd minute, Portuguese Joao Cancelo took a free-kick in search of Icardi, who escaped the defense and scored with a header that beat goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, restoring confidence for Inter Milan.

Shortly after conceding the equalizer, Juventus had an excellent opportunity to regain the lead with Gonzalo Higuaín, but the "Pipita" missed the target after bypassing Handanovic.

Juventus missed their chance and Inter Milan punished them just 120 seconds later, as Perisic crossed in search of a forward and Barzagli deflected the ball into his own net to make it 2-1 for Milan.

With no margin for error, Allegri brought on Dybala and Federico Bernardeschi to give their all in search of a comeback.

Inter Milan held on until the 88th minute when Dybala played a great through ball to Cuadrado, who crossed in search of a forward and was rewarded with an unfortunate deflection from Slovakian defender Milan Skriniar.

Moments later, Juventus added a second goal, as Higuaín headed in a brilliant free-kick delivered by Dybala to make it 3-2.

Inter Milan didn't have the energy to respond and suffered a harsh defeat against a Juventus side that gave a signal that could prove decisive in their pursuit of a seventh consecutive league title.
